O&S Wins $2.8M for Property Preservation Workers

Following a favorable jury verdict in July of 2017, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District awarded over $2.8 million to 11 Class members in bellweather proceedings. The Class members are in a group of over 100 workers in the property preservation industry who were misclassified by their employer, Field Asset Services, LLC, as independent contractors, and forced to work without overtime pay and without reimbursement of business expenses. O&S Partner Monique Olivier, along with Duckworth Peters LLP and Shepherd Finkelman Miller & Shah represent the Class. Plaintiffs intend to try the claims of the remaining Class members.
